Alright, so tonight I watched the Cleveland vs. Washington game today. Naturally, I was rooting for the Cavs - I admit the Wizards are very good, but I'm just a big LBJ fan. However, it was a bad night for me. LeBron didn't show due to a flu, nor did many other Cavs players (notably Delonte West, who is facing charges for weapon possesion, and Mo Williams, who has a sore right groin). And then, the game started. Antawn Jamison, my favorite Wizard, was injured late in the first quarter as he went up against Zydrunas Ilgauskus of the Cavaliers. In the end, the Wizards managed to beat the Cavaliers, with Randy Foye being PERFECT at the line - a factor important in the last couple seconds when the Cavs were intentionally fouling. A shame, but I'm sure the Cavaliers will still do well in the season once their stars return to play.
Oh, and in case anyone's interested (since most preseason games aren't on national TV as far as I know), there's a website called
[link] that streams live NBA games (amongst other things).
UPDATE: LeBron James might have H1N1, which is why he didn't show. Two other Cavaliers (Darnell Jackson and Coby Karl) have likewise been tested for H1N1. Test results aren't back for any of the three, but the possiblity remains.
UPDATE2: LeBron doesn't have swine flu. I'm not sure about the others, though.
UPDATE3: The others don't have swine flu either.
